RES 502 Technical information
Our subwoofers consist of 2 5 inch woofers that are connected in parallel circuit. The impedance was reduced from 4 Ohm to 2 Ohm in order to increase the audio reception sensitivity. Both woofers can handle from 30 Watts to 200 Watts drive. The best responsive frequency is at 80 Hz. The subwoofer body is made from metal mold with rustic protection chemicals. The rubber rims last more than 15 years. The subwoofer cone consists of 2 layers. The inner layer is a web weaved paper used for the air flowing system. The outer layer is stronger pan-like paper used for impacting and increase the strength.
Circuit
At normal stage, there will be no light until the sound signal reaches to the maximum drive and the light will be in synch with the beat. If the light is on all time, it means that the volume is too high. Most sound signal will turn to the light to share the load in order to prevent the overload.
Sound reflection system
Sound reflection system Resonance is everything. RES502 uses the air suspension from the vacuum space of 2 five inch woofers and pass through resonance space and push the air to the outer air duct. Therefore, our thin RES502 subwoofer is the creator of hugh bass output, but the sound from the outside still needs bass reflexes. Therefore, you have to turn the air tube to the direction that the air can be reflected for your best sound reflection.

SINGLE VS DUAL SUBWOOFER SYSTEM
Single subwoofer system
To upgrade your existing car audio system, you can just add a RES502 and 2-channel power amplifier (more than 100 watts per channel). You can just connect the line out from your front (player) to the line in of the power amplifier. The woofers will be connected to the RES502 subwoofer in the bridge mono mode.
The bass output from one RES502 subwoofer has the same quality as a 8 inch subwoofer that is best for easy listening style.
Dual subwoofer system
2 RES502 subwoofers are best for the front stage listening. With higher watt power amplifier (more than 200 watts per channel), you have 2 system choices. One is 200 watt per channel stereo that consists of 4 ohm impedance, or connect them in parallel at 400 watts mono bridge that consist of 2 ohm impedance.
The bass output from this installation is equal to 10 inch subwoofer (depend on the power amplifer's quality). The more watts for power amplifer, the better output you can get from our RES502 that is virtually like the bass output is floating from the front end.
